Privacy Policy.
Last updated May 16, 2026. MoMoney is operated by MoMoney LLC.
Who we are
MoMoney is a free mobile app that helps you discover class-action settlements you may be eligible to claim money from. The app is operated by MoMoney LLC ("MoMoney," "we," "us," or "our"). Questions about this policy or your data: privacy@momoney.app.
The short version
MoMoney is completely free — no subscription, no in-app purchase. We ask optional questions about you so we can match you to settlements, and you choose how much to answer. The questions cover ordinary consumer and demographic information; we do not ask for health information or sensitive personal experiences. We do not sell your personal information. You can delete your account and your data from inside the app at any time.
Who can use MoMoney
MoMoney is intended only for adults. You must be 18 years or older to use the app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we will delete any such information if we learn we have collected it.
Information you give us
Account information. When you create an account you may sign in with Apple or Google. Depending on the method you choose, we receive an account identifier and, if you allow it, an email address. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we receive only a private relay address. You can also use the app anonymously, without signing in.
Your profile answers. The core of MoMoney is an optional questionnaire. The questions ask about ordinary consumer and demographic facts — such as your name, ZIP code, age range, gender, marital status, and household size; your education, occupation type, and household income range; whether you own or rent your home; which mobile carriers you have used; how many email accounts, credit cards, and bank accounts you have had; and whether you have shopped at, worked for, subscribed to, or used specific named businesses and services. Every question is optional.
[ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm the data-category list stays accurate as the questionnaire evolves; the per-settlement questions in particular change over time.]
What we do not ask. MoMoney does not ask for, and does not want, information about your health, medical history, diagnoses, treatments, or other sensitive personal experiences. The app's questions are limited to ordinary consumer and demographic information.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the app we automatically collect basic technical and usage information: a device identifier, your app version, and your device platform; your IP address; app activity such as when you open the app and how long sessions last; and, if you arrived from an advertisement, basic attribution information about which ad campaign referred you. If you choose to receive notifications, we record your notification preferences and, for push notifications, a device push token. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
How we use your information
We use your information to create and maintain your account; match your profile to class-action settlements you may be eligible for; show you those matches and an estimated potential value; send you notifications about new matches if you have opted in; operate, secure, debug, and improve the app; measure the performance of our advertising; and comply with legal obligations.
How matching and filing a claim works
When MoMoney shows you a settlement match, it is telling you that, based on the answers you have given, you may qualify. MoMoney does not decide whether you actually qualify, and a match is not legal advice or a guarantee of payment.
When you choose to file a claim, MoMoney sends you to the official claims website operated by that settlement's administrator — an organization independent of MoMoney. You enter your claim information directly on the administrator's website. For these settlements, MoMoney does not transmit your profile answers or personal information to the administrator; the information you provide on the claims site is governed by that site's own privacy policy.
[ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm this remains accurate for all handoff types offered at launch.]
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.
Service providers. We use trusted third-party companies to run the app, who may process your information only to provide services to us: Cloudflare (hosting, data storage, and security infrastructure); Resend (sending email, such as notifications and account-related messages); and OpenRouter (access to the artificial-intelligence models we use to research and organize settlement information).
[ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm whether any user profile data, versus only public settlement-source content, is sent to the AI provider; if no user data is sent, this entry can be narrowed accordingly.]
Partner offers. From time to time, MoMoney may show you optional offers from partner companies — for example, a mobile-service partner or a bill-reduction service. If you choose to engage with a partner offer, you may be taken to that partner's own website or app, where the partner's privacy policy will apply.
[ATTORNEY REVIEW: list specific named partners and confirm exactly what, if anything, is shared with them and whether MoMoney receives any compensation that should be disclosed.]
Legal referral partner. In some cases MoMoney may offer to connect you with a legal referral service that can help match you with an attorney. If you choose to use this option, your contact information may be shared with that referral service so it can assist you.
[ATTORNEY REVIEW: name the referral partner, describe precisely what is shared and when, and confirm any required attorney-advertising or referral disclosures.]
Settlement administrators. As described above, when you file a claim you provide information directly to the relevant settlement administrator on their own website.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or MoMoney.
Business transfers. If MoMoney is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
Advertising and analytics
MoMoney may advertise to attract new users, and we measure whether our advertising works. If you arrived from an ad, we may record basic attribution information. On iOS, we will ask for your permission before engaging in any tracking that requires it under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and you can change that choice at any time in your device settings.
[ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm whether any advertising SDK or conversion-tracking pixel is active in the launch build; if so, name the provider and describe the data shared, and confirm the App Store privacy label matches.]
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated personal information, subject to a short grace period during which deletion is finalized. We may retain limited information longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Anonymous accounts that are inactive for an extended period may be automatically removed.
Your choices and rights
Every questionnaire question is optional — you can use the app having answered very little. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app; if you delete it by mistake, the app provides a short window to restore it. You can turn notifications on or off at any time in your device settings, and on iOS you can grant or withdraw tracking permission at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. To make a request, contact privacy@momoney.app.
[ATTORNEY REVIEW: expand this section with the specific state-law disclosures the app needs at launch — for example, the categories of personal information collected and disclosed under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and any equivalent disclosures for other states. A privacy attorney should determine which state privacy laws apply and confirm the exact required language.]
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and infrastructure security provided by our hosting partner. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
MoMoney is not directed to children and is intended only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us information, contact privacy@momoney.app and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app. Your continued use of MoMoney after a change means you accept the updated policy.
