Common questions

What is mo money?

mo money is a free consumer app that helps you find money you didn't know you were owed. We surface class action settlements you may qualify for, find unclaimed property in your name across all 50 states, and (coming soon) help you lower your monthly bills and connect with attorneys when you have a legal claim.

Is mo money really free?

The settlement and unclaimed property tools are free, forever. There is no subscription and no premium tier. Optional partner services available within the app (bill negotiation, attorney consultations, etc.) may have their own fees, which are always disclosed before you opt in. We do not take a cut of any settlement payout or unclaimed property recovery — you keep 100% of what settlement administrators or state unclaimed property offices pay you.

How does mo money make money?

When consumers save money. We earn referral fees from optional partner services — bill negotiation services and attorney network referrals — that you can choose to use within the app. The core settlement and unclaimed property tools are free, forever.

How does mo money find money I'm owed?

We monitor active class action settlements in the United States and unclaimed property records across all 50 states. We surface settlements based on the brands and services most consumers use, and unclaimed property based on names and prior addresses you share with us during onboarding.

How much can I claim?

It varies by settlement. Some pay $5–$50 with only an attestation and no proof of purchase required. Others pay $200–$2,000+ when you can show records. Tier amounts are set by the court-appointed settlement administrator, not by us.

How long does it take to get paid?

Settlement administrators typically issue payment 60–180 days after the claims deadline. Unclaimed property recovery depends on the state — some are fast, some take weeks.
